A jaw crusher is a compression machine. It consists of 2 corrugated jaw plates (dies), one fixed (stationary) and one that is movable. The opening is wider at the top than the bottom. Shot rock type material up to 90% of the jaw opening size is typically acceptable. With material like gravel, 80% size is encouraged.
