Generally, flotation processes remove Ti02 from the kaolin which improves product brightness. Iron content is not much affected by flotation. Unlike many flotation processes where the desired component is concentrated in the froth, kaolin flotation is the reverse of this, i. e., the undesired component is removed in the froth and discarded.
