CANATUAN CU/ZN FLOTATION METALLURGY

The second phase of the mining operation required construction and development of a sulphide flotation processing plant. The project began in early 2007 and was commissioned in November 2008. The plant was initially designed to process high Cu-low Zn ores (with Cu to Zn ratio > 5:1) to produce marketable copper concentrate only.
