Last test showed low serum zinc and copper but good whole blood zinc, copper deficient in whole blood. What does this tell me? Am I zinc deficient or not ? I'm sure that I'm copper deficient. I was never able to get my copper levels up, even without high zinc foods or supplements for years, but high copper food and supplements.

اقرأ أكثرAccordingly, low serum levels of zinc and copper have been observed at ICU admission, and those with higher serum concentrations have shown significantly lower mortality [10,11]. Recently, an association between low zinc levels and the severity of acute respiratory distress syndrome has been shown for people with severe COVID-19 [12] .
اقرأ أكثرSerum zinc and copper concentrations were determined by atomic absorption. Of the 2419 normal weight adults, 377 had MetS. Of this group, 53.7% and 49.7% had a serum zinc <70 µg/dl (Q1) (p = 0.001) or a serum copper <79 µg/dl (Q1) respectively.

اقرأ أكثرSerum copper and caeruloplasmin concentrations are elevated in various carcinomas, but it is not known whether the rise in serum copper is due to elevation of caeruloplasmin alone or whether it is also due to the elevation of 'free' copper. We therefore determined ultrafiltrable copper to answer this question.

Moreover, taking into account the role of Cp in iron transport, diabetes-related perturbations in Cp levels may at least partially contribute to alteration in iron metabolism.

In this study serum copper and ceruloplasmin levels in 40 patients with primary brain tumors were studied. Both parameters were increased in sera of patients with tumors in comparison with healthy subjects or patients with non …
